Reading Story

Tittle:Room 13
    Mr.Anderson went to Viborg, Denmark in 1891 to  study the history of town for writing a book. He stayed in the Golden Lion Inn, Room 12.
    He went  to the Town Hall. There were some letters from the Bishop of Viborg, it about the man who townspeople hate, Nicolas Francken. The people believed he was magician.
    When he walked to his room, he always heard somethings in room 13 but it doesn't have anyone.
    And the last night, the sound in room 13 became louder. Mr. Anderson came out to the front of door. He saw arm came out from room 13. He avoided strange arm and then arm was disappear.
    In the morning, he found the old box under floor that was old papers. It was Nicolas Francken's papers who disappear in 1560. Mr. Anderson thought that papers written by Nicolas Francken.

Vocabulary
    landlord(n.) = a person or organization that owns a building or an area of land and is paid by other people for the use of it.
    ashtray(n.)  = a small dish or container, sometimes decorative, in which people can leave cigarette ash and cigarette ends
    ledge(n.)     = a narrow shelf which sticks out from a vertical surface
    inn(n.)         = UK a pub where you can stay for the night, usually in the countryside
                        US a small hotel, usually in the countryside


I got new words from this story and so excited when read it! <3





Tittle: The Black Cat
     This is story about the man who loved animals. He married when young. He had a cat, Pluto. He always walk with him everywhere. As time passed, he drank too much and he didn't take care anymore. He became devil and anger. Pluto run away from him, it made him angry. He cut out one of Pluto's eyes from its socket. He killed his cat and wife. He hided wife's body in wall. Police visited him and search the house. Then, the police found his wife and him arrested.

Vocabulary

    murderer(n.)   = someone who illegally and intentionally kills another person
      chimney(n.)     = a hollow structure that allows the smoke from a fire inside a building to escape to the air outside
      explode(n.)     = to (cause to) break up into pieces violently
      cellar(v.)         = a room under the ground floor of a building, usually used for storage
      ashamed(adj.)feeling guilty or embarrassed about something you have done or a quality in your character
      horror(n.)        = an extremely strong feeling of fear and shock, or the frightening and shocking character of something
      underneath(prep.)under or below
      socket(n.)         = the part of a piece of equipment, especially electrical equipment, into which another part fits

     This story was mystery and surprised. It made me fun!  



Tittle: The pair of ghostly hand

        Emily moved to Cornwall. Tresillack was alone house f the head volley. Housekeeper, Mrs.Carkeek took care her everything. On night, Emily heard sound of water on pipe inside wall and she found the room. She saw pair of hand, it just had hand. She frighted and move quickly to her room. Mrs.Carkeek told her about last night. She was Margaret, only daughter of  own house, bu she died twenty years ago because illness. Margaret was ghost who take care everything in house. Emily still stayed in that house with Margaret.

   Vocabulary

       material(n.)       = a physical substance which things can be made from
       dreamily(adv.)   = If you say or do something dreamily, you do it as if you are not completely awake and are thinking of pleasant things
       unpleasant(adj.)not enjoyable or pleasant
       housekeeper(n.) a person, especially a woman, whose job is to organize another person's house and deal with cooking, cleaning, etc.

    This was ghost story that i like more than! 



  

    Tittle: Lost heart
          Stephen  Elliott,11 years boy who came to live at Aswarby Hall. Mr.Abney,his cousin seemed very welcoming when Stephen arrived. Mr.Brunch took him to room and answered him every question. She said about boy and girl who disappeared before Stephen arrived. The both were poor children and didn't have family.
          The time had pass, Stephen had bad dream every night about some body in old bathroom. He told terrible dream to Mr.Brunch. Then her told to Mr.Abney and he remembered to diary. The day had more strange for Stephen and that day he found a note from Mr.Abney, he wanted to see him and didn't tell to Mr.Brunch. He went to library for meet Mr.Abney, but he found diary, it about disappeared children and lost children's heart.

     Vocabulary

        indeed(adv.)      = really or certainly, often used to emphasize something
        restlessness(n.)  = unwilling or unable to stay still or to be quiet and calm, because you are worried or bored

  This was mystery story that terrible and horror!



Tittle: The pit and the pendulum
    The man woke up in strange place and darkness. He didn't know where he is and he confused. He tried to escape from this place but didn't have exist. Until he sure, this place was jail. He tried and slept.
    He woke up again on wood bed and have rope around his chest. He lying on wood bed in square room which from glasses. He saw the man who have halberd and the Hourglasses. He sway his halberd slowly near to him. He avoided and tried to escape from square room. Then he can escape, he ran and ran!
Suddenly, he heard voices. People were shouting and fighting. He didn't know what happen and he weak. He was starting to burn and already falling. /then someone held his arm and pulled him back. He was wearing the French soldier uniform. French soldiers had captured the city of Toledo and prisoners same him were free.
